SHIRLEY GREEN

SHIRLEY MARY ELIZABETH GREEN of Lethbridge, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 10, 2008 at the age of 68 years, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Shirley will be sadly missed by all who knew her. She was born May 5, 1940 in Lestock, Saskatchewan. Her family later moved to a farm near Taber. As the eldest of eight children, Shirley developed a hard work ethic. Educated in Taber and Lethbridge, Shirley spent most of her professional life as a secretary in Toronto and Lethbridge. Her family was her treasure and her highest priority and she also shared her heart with her beloved pets. Shirley loved music and dancing. Always a classy dresser, appearance was important to her.

A perfectionist in everything she did, Shirley collected antique oil lamps, various items made of Depression glass and brass items. She also enjoyed working in her flower beds.

She leaves to cherish her memory her parents, Steve and Rose Szigli, three children, daughter Wendy (Joseph) Kutanzi, grandchildren Heather, Kristy, Cheryl and Curtis of Grassy Lake, son Mark Budd of Calgary and daughter Pamela (Jason) Zieffle, grandchildren Kayla and Kody of Lethbridge. Her siblings Ken (Doreen) Szigli, Darlene Delorme, Dianne (Jim) Rediker, Roseanne (Larry) Tucker, Lloyd (Eunice) Szigli and David Szigli, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her sister "Little" Annie.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 2:00pm, on Friday, August 15, 2008 at OUR LADY OF THE ASSUMPTION CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2405 - 12 Ave., S., Lethbridge, with Father Tim Boyle officiating.
