MRS. SELMA (KLAUS) MUELLER, beloved wife of Mr. George Mueller of Lethbridge, passed away peacefully at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Sunday, March 4, 2012 at the age of 88 years.

Selma is survived by her loving husband George Mueller; son George (Jacquie) Klaus of Lethbridge; daughter Sharon (Len) Kolpak of Lethbridge; step-sons Carson (Estelle) Mueller of Warner and Scott (Karen) Mueller of Calgary; 10 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and their families. She was predeceased by her first husband Emil Klaus, 3 sisters, 4 brothers, a step-daughter Faye Racz and several brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws.

Selma was born on January 18, 1924 to Martha and Gustav Fald while on a family trip to Chinook, Montana. She was raised in Robsart, Saskatchewan where she attended a one room school house. Selma met her first husband, Emil Klaus, when visiting her sister Mabel in Raymond. They were married February 23, 1942 and had two children, George and Sharon. They lived west of Raymond where they farmed sugar beets until the spring of 1957 when they sold the farm and moved to Lethbridge. While in Raymond, Selma also worked at the Raymond Mental Hospital until starting a family. In Lethbridge, she worked at Kresges and later became Manager for Reitman's ladies wear. Emil passed away in September 1974.

Selma married her second husband, George Mueller, on June 16, 1978 and moved to his farm near Warner with his three children. She was very active on the farm and also in the farming community. Selma was a member of the Royal Purple in Warner for 33 years and was the Honoured Royal Lady from 1984 to 1985. She also did fundraising for the Heart Foundation. Selma and George moved to Lethbridge in July 1986 when Carson took over the family farm.

""Toots"" will always be remembered for her ""Sunday family suppers"", her sense of humor and her beautiful flower gardens. Although we will miss her deeply, her spirit will never be lost.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00pm on Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 - 4 Street South, Lethbridge. Interment to follow in the Archmount Cemetery.
