MRS. GRACE HELEN SELKIRK of Lethbridge, beloved wife of the late Mr. Donald Selkirk, passed away at the Edith Cavell Care Centre on Wednesday, May 6, 2009 at the age of 91 years.

Grace was born in Summit, South Dakota on May 15, 1917. She moved to Saskatchewan, Canada at the age of 6 years old where she then took her schooling. At age 25 Grace entered the Royal Canadian Air Force where she worked as a telephone operator. She was later awarded a Canadian Volunteer Service Medal. She married Donald in 1945 and together they lived in various towns until they found their home in Red Deer, Alberta.

In 1982, Grace retired to Lethbridge and enjoyed many hours at the Lethbridge Senior Centre, playing bridge and carpet bowling. She was also a member of Norbridge Senior Centre.

Besides her loving husband Donald, Grace was predeceased by her parents Elizabeth and Junius Way, and sisters Vera and Lois.

Grace is survived by her daughters Elizabeth ""Betty"" Dahl, Karen Selkirk; sons Gordon (Lorraine) Selkirk, John (Myrna) Selkirk; grandsons Donald (Jenn), Dugan Selkirk, Jesse Selkirk, David (Jamie) Houston; great-grandchildren Grace Selkirk, McKailyn, Emily and Tyrus Houston.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00pm, on Monday, May 11, 2009, at the MARTIN BROS. RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 - 4 St., S., Lethbridge, AB, with Pastor Brian Magee officiating.
