Sakae “Sak” Saruwatari, mechanic and farmer passed away on Wednesday January 23 2019 at St. Therese Villa.
Dad was born January 5, 1928 on the family farm south of Raymond. Dad married May Nishiyama on February 19, 1955. Together they raised 5 children Richard (Wendy), Philip (Tammy), Joy (Darcy), Cary (Eileen), and Gaye (Kalvin). 12 grandchildren and soon to be 13 great-grandchildren.
Dad is survived by brother Tosh (Joyce), sisters Jeannie and Sady and Sister in-law Mary. Predeceased by wife May, siblings Kashiko, Ritsuko, Toshiko, Takayuki, Mamoru, and Minoru.
A Celebration Of Life will be held at 1:00PM on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 – 4 STREET SOUTH, LETHBRIDGE, AB., Kurt Saruwatari, officiating
The family would like to thank the staff and nurses for the care and support they extended to Dad and our family.
