Sadie Campbell

With sadness, we wish to announce the passing of our loving mother, SADIE CAMPBELL on Sunday, December 23, 2007 in Lethbridge in her 92nd year, beloved wife of the late Albert Campbell.

Sadie was born in Lethbridge on April 20th, 1915, youngest daughter of William George and Sarah Jane King. Her father died in WWI in 1916 and her mother died in 1923 when Sadie was only 7 years old. She went to live with her father's uncle and aunt, David and Martha King of Coaldale. She took all her schooling in Coaldale. On October 11, 1934 Sadie married Albert Campbell and lived on the farm north of Coaldale until 1967 when they retired to Lethbridge.

In 1987 they moved from their home in Lethbridge to Haig Towers. After Albert's death, Sadie lived at the Haig Towers until 2003, she then moved to the Blue Sky Lodge in Lethbridge.

Sadie is survived by her four children: Doug (Helen) Campbell, Beth (Louis) Magyar, Curt (Henka) Campbell, Sharon (Cornie) DeJong, 13 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Mother will be remembered for all her lovely knitting, crocheting, needle work and cross stitch birth announcements that she made for all her great grandchildren.

Sadie was predeceased by her parents, her loving husband Albert in 1989, two sisters and their spouses, Maurine and Bert Nyhoff, Margaret and George Glover and one brother and his spouse William (Bill) and Elizabeth King, three nieces and two nephews.

Gentle soul, gone home to rest,
Breathe easy now, we know it's best.
A life well-lived and wisdom shared
Know that you're loved and how much we cared.
A day won't pass without thoughts of you,
Though many years, they seemed too few!
We'll miss you.

A Private Family Graveside service will be held at Mountain View Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made in Sadie's memory to a charity on one's choice.
