Ry’anne Koby Bruised Head (Itspanih` kaki) Singing in The Clouds Woman was Born on September 17, 1998. Passed away peacefully at her home on September 28, 2022 in Lethbridge Alberta.
Ry’anne was the loving mother to her precious son Alexander McCarty and the beloved youngest daughter to Michelle P. Big Throat and Byron Bruised Head. Best friend and soulmate to Derych McCarty and beloved baby sister to Patricia Jolaine, Stacy Lynn, and Sara Kate Bruised Head. Beloved Aunty and big sister to Cashius Klay, Aliyah Marie, and Dusty Stone Hungry wolf. Adopted sister Jorrie First Rider.
Ry`anne Koby was born on a beautiful sunny day. She was a beautiful chubby baby at 9lbs 3oz with big brown eyes, and full set of long lashes, and a thick head of hair. Ry’anne`s arrival completed the family of 4 daughters, and instantly became the one and only ``Baby Girl.
Ry`anne began speaking at 8 months old and developed a full vocabulary talking in full sentences, this freaked out her mother because mom wanted her to stay a baby forever. Ry’anne and her sister Sara were only 2 years apart and grew up very close and did almost everything together. Mom would refer to them as her twin babies. Ry`anne looked up to the older sisters Patricia and Stacy who helped in raising her. In her formative years Ry`anne loved being outdoors taking care of the horses alongside her daddy Byron. Ry`anne and Sara joined gymnastics and took swimming lessons at Nicholas Sheran and Later at The University of Lethbridge. Ry’anne began kindergarten at Ecole St. Mary`s Elementary School and instantly was recognized for being book smart and since grade one (1) was placed in The Advance classroom. Ry`anne breezed through school and graduated with a diploma from Catholic Central High School. Ry`anne met the love of her life Derych in her final year of High School. After graduation Ry`anne broke the news to her mom + dad that she would soon be expecting a baby boy.
Ry`anne gave birth to her precious son Alexander Xavier McCarty and she instantly fell madly in Love with him. Ry`anne started at the University of Lethbridge in 2017 and was majoring in Psychology. Ry`anne was set to convocate this spring (2023) with her Bachelor of Arts. While doing her studies she began her employment at Alpha House as an addictions support worker. Ry`anne loved working with the vulnerable people. Ry`anne`s whole life was centered on her son Alexander, and she worked tirelessly and endlessly to provide a home and all that he needed. She loved to spoil Alexander and she would take him on wild shopping sprees. Ry`anne also had a special bond with her niece Aliyah and her nephews Cashius and Dusty. She loved having them over and they would listen to music, dance, shop, binge watch Netflix, take selfies and laugh endlessly. Ry`anne loved spending time at her aunty Maria`s and it is there that she formed a close bond with her cousins Nicholas Chief moon, Jonah Brewer, David Healy, Lyle Calf Robe and Emmette (Billy)Twigg, she would refer to them as her bro`s. Aunty Maria`s and uncle Darwin`s place was known as the hangout and there they would do crazy but innocent things like make videos on Nic`s camcorder which would end up hilarious. Ry`anne was also very close to her best friend-brother Brandon Black Water, and they went on many shenanigans together.
Ry`anne was a beautiful person inside out, but she knew she was smart and intelligent. Ry`anne was very charismatic and had a huge heart, she loved to help anyone in need. She would even let homeless people sleep in her house, then would panic when they refused to leave. Ry`anne had a special way about her and naturally drew people to her. Ry`anne was loved by her family and friends and will be forever missed but never forgotten. We love you so much our dear sweet Annie girl.
Ry`anne is survived by her Parent Michelle P. Big Throat and Byron Bruised Head. Her sisters Patricia, Stacy (Brandon), Sara (AJ) Bruised Head, Aliyah (Aria) Hungry Wolf, her brothers Cashius and Dusty Hungry Wolf, Her nephews Breaker bruised Head, Rylan Bruised Head, Bradey and Kade Good Striker, Dylan, Braylon and Kylen Healy, Her Nieces Styler Bruised Head and Sohie Briggs, her Grandparents Veronica and Raymond Brewer, Aunties: Maria (Darwin) Chief Moon, Janice (Owen) Tail Feathers, Lana (Shedon) Brewer, Melissa (Levi) Little Mustache. Uncles Jason (Ellen) Running Rabbit, Wesley (Michelle) Crosschild, Radford (Charleen) Brewer, Kelvin (Toby) Brewer, Jordan (Sandra) Bruised Head Mike (Barb) Bruised Head Bill (Bernice) Bruised Head, Clark (Annette) Bruised Head Jenny Bruised Head , Benita (Andy) Creighton , Dexter (Trish) Bruised Head. Special Auntie’s, Annette Twigg, Carolyn Twigg and Sheryl Black Water. Great Aunt Christine Good Dagger and Claudia Sugai. Ry`anne had numerous cousins on both sides of the family and all her friends too many to mention.
She is predeceased by her Grandmother Linda Bruised Head, Grandpa Chester Bruised Head, Maternal Grandfather Norbert RunningRabbit, Great Grandparents Harry and Clara Big Throat, Uncle Darcy Big Throat. Ry’anne Koby was the direct descendant of `Miikasto` Chief Red Crow, she is the 6th generation granddaughter. She is survived by Big Throats, RunningRabbits, Bruised Head and Chief Moons. A Wake Service will be held at 6:00 pm, on Friday, October 7, 2022, at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610, 4 Street South, Lethbridge, Alberta.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am, on Saturday, October 8, 2022, at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610, 4 Street South, Lethbridge, Alberta. Ry’anne will be laid to rest at Rafter B. Ranch on the Blood Reserve.
