Russell Morrison 1961 ~ 2013 Mr. Russell Raymond Morrison passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Thursday, October 17, 2013 at the age of 51 years after a long battle with COPD. He is survived by his three children and their spouses - Rick Thomas Morrison, Stacey Ann Morrison (Dallas Langworthy), Ken (Erika Morrison) and grandchild Alexis Morrison. He is also survived by his sister Connie Marie Morrison; brother -in- law Gene Campbell; brother Norm David Morrison; sister -in- law Myrna Morrison; and step mother Karen Morrison. He was predeceased by his parents Norman Dale Morrison and Doreen Mae Schweitzer and step father Jack Tiffin. Russell worked very hard on the family farm from a young age with his father Dale to build a sizeable business growing crops and tending livestock for most of his life until sale of the family farm took place in 2005. Russell also worked in construction and safety training for as long as his health permitted. Russell had an abundance of wit and a great sense of humor and always had the ability to make people laugh. Even in his final days he would always try to get a laugh out of family and care givers. In great suffering, when one of his care givers asked if there was anything she could do to ease his pain he requested not medication, rather the staff to sing him ""soft kitty"" from the TV show ""big Bang Theory"". Russell took great enjoyment making jokes on the radio and loved to make his step mother Karen laugh on a routine basis during harvest. Russell often expressed great sadness for the loss of many relationships and made ex-tenuous efforts to ensure the wellbeing of friends and family in his final years. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Russell passed away in comfort with his family at his side. To respect the wishes of the family a private memorial will be held for Russell at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in Russell's name to the YWCA Lethbridge & District 604 - 8 Street South, Lethbridge, AlbertaT1J 2K1.
