With saddened hearts the children of Roma Roth announce her peaceful passing on December 12, 2018.

Mom was born on July 28, 1937 in Bengough Saskatchewan to Rose and Ernie Nicolay, sister to Larry, Bev and Bonnie.

Mom and Dad (Steve Roth) had been married for 53 years prior to his passing on January 24th, 2012.

Mom and Dad moved to Coaldale in 1970 where they became very active with their community and church. During Mom’s very active life she was friend to her many coworkers at Zellers where she worked for 30+ years and friends to her slow pitch teammates, the 29er’s. She enjoyed many years of curling and over 30 years of golfing at Indian Hill. She was a friend and confidant to her coworkers at both Rehoboth and Soup Kitchen where she volunteered for many years and was a leader and guiding hand with Girl Guides of Canada, Coaldale chapter. The Church was a significant part of her life where she was an active member of the St. Ambrose CWL for 48 years. Mom followed hockey actively, not only her grandsons through their years of playing, watching her husband’s games to supporting local WHL Teams. She enjoyed travelling with her last trip being November 2017 visiting her Mexican family. Mom also enjoyed her gardening, although the last few years it was more by sharing her vision and having others implementing the planting of her many planters.

Besides her husband Steve, Mom was predeceased by her parents, Ernie and Rose Nicolay.

Roma (Mom) is survived by her siblings Larry (Onna) Nicolay, Bev (Gerry) Kipp, Bonnie (Dwayne) Sturm; four children Kella (Erich) Neufeld, Kendra (Warren) Calder, Faron (Kathy) Roth, Dion (Deb) Roth; her add on children Sherry (Art) McIntosh, Alberto (Claudia) Rodriquez, and Terry MacDonald; grandchildren Chad (Jenna) Neufeld, Kyle (Cayley) Neufeld, Clayton Neufeld, Patrick Smith, Lowell Smith, Caitlin (Shane) Smyck, Sydney Roth, Kali Roth, Riley Roth, Rachel (Kevin) Kuntz, Jonathon McIntosh, Alberto (Sadie) Rodriquez Jr and Claudia Rodriquez Jr;                great-grandchildren, Olivia Neufeld, Carson McIntosh, Braeden, Everitt, Abagail Kuntz and Regina Rodriquez.
