Rose Todd

1914 ~ 2007

MRS. ROSA ""ROSE"" G. TODD (nee Renner) of Nobleford, AB, beloved wife of the late Mr. George H. Todd, passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Sunday, October 7, 2007 at the age of 93 years.

Born on May 4, 1914 to Joseph and Josephine Renner, Rosa was raised on the homestead (built in 1907) in the Keho district. She was educated first at Twelve-Mile Coulee School then at Keho School.

Rose married George H. Todd from the Newlands District in 1944 and resided on their family farm until 2006, at which time she moved to Lethbridge.

Rose was devoted to her husband and her family, enjoying dancing, traveling and all the many family gatherings, trips, picnics and rousing games of canasta or crib. Another one of her greatest joys was her garden. She was very involved in the Nobleford community, Keho district clubs and the Nobleford seniors association. While she was able, she was very active with the Nobleford Curling Club and she played golf as well. Later on in life, she took pleasure in watching these sports.

Left to mourn her passing are her three children Richard Todd of Coquitlam, BC, Randy (Cheryl) Todd of Nobleford and Jo-Ann McTighe of Lethbridge; grandchildren Shannon (Myron) Stolte and Renee McTighe of Lethbridge, Allison (Ken) Hebenik of Diamond City and Liane Todd of Edmonton, Jenna and Dana Todd of Port Moody, BC; great-grandchildren Douglas and Stephen Turnbull and Ashley and Taylor Stolte; brother and sister Carl and Elsie Renner of Lethbridge; daughter-in-law Susan Todd of BC; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, their children and other extended family.

Rose was predeceased by her parents Joseph and Josephine Renner; parents-in-law Robert and Mary Ann Todd; husband George; sister Barbara Renner; brothers Herman, Rudolf, Ernest (Mary), Albert and Frank Renner; in-laws Robert (Grace) Todd, Jim (Sadie) Todd, William (Babe) Todd and Christena Vickers, as well as other nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members.

A Funeral Service will be held 1:00pm on Friday, October 12, 2007 at MARTIN BROS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 - 4 Street South, Lethbridge, with Reverend Larry D. Hankinson officiating. Interment to follow in the Archmount Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
