Mrs. Rosa Peters of Lethbridge, beloved wife of the late Mr. George (Gerhard) Peters passed away at the St. Michael’s Health Centre on her 86th birthday, June 11, 2017.
Rosa was born in Cataloi, Romania and while her early years were happy the war soon interfered and everything changed. However, God was gracious and Rosa and all her family eventually made it safely to Canada. It was here that she met and married her husband George (Gerhard) and together they raised seven children. Though faced with many challenges in this life Rosa always trusted in God to sustain and keep her.
Rosa is survived by her children Helmut, Richard (Ellie), Ruth (Stephen), Rudy (Patti), daughter-in-law Carolyn, Rolund (Claire), and Rose (Jeff). Rosa also leaves behind numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband George (Gerhard) and son Ervin Reinhard.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to all the staff at St. Michaels for the wonderful and compassionate care that they gave to Rosa and the entire family.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610-4th St. S., Lethbridge, AB with Pastor Mark Noonan, officiating. Interment will take place in Mountain View Cemetery.
