RON WILSON of Lethbridge, beloved husband of Helen, passed away suddenly on May 15, 2008 at the age of 70 years.

Ron was born in Indian Head, Saskatchewan on July 26, 1937, to Gerald and Rosie Wilson. He worked in Regina for several years before he returned to work with his dad in the electrical business. He met his future bride Helen and married on April 17, 1958. In 1966, they moved to Alberta and Ron took a job at the Nanton News. In 1969 they moved to Lethbridge so that Ron could work for the Lethbridge Herald for the next 12 years. Ron later started his own printing business until he finally settled at Parkbridge Estates where he worked as a groundskeeper. Committed and proud of the accomplishments of his labour, he enjoyed this job for many years until his health forced him to retire.

Ron's greatest enjoyment in life was socializing with family and friends. He was the host with the most. From playing music with his parents as a young man to singing and playing music with his friend Tony, he loved the times he got to spend laughing and dancing with his many friends and the great memories they made together. Ron had many, many great memories with Helen's family. Ron was so proud and thrilled with every moment he spent with his beloved grandchildren; the love he felt for them will live on in them forever. Ron was the greatest Husband, Dad, Grandpa and friend. He will be dearly missed.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, May 23, 2008, at MARTIN BROS. RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 - 4th Street South, Lethbridge. Inurnment will follow in Mountain View Cemetery. Flowers are respectfully declined. Those who wish, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Canadian Cancer Society.
