Robert Graham
Service Details
MR. ROBERT GRAHAM passed away peacefully with his family at his side on Friday, October 23, 2009 at the age of 65 years.
Robert was born on May 8, 1944 at home on the Graham acreage, the 15th of 17 children. He spent many years working in the mine in Flin Flon, Manitoba and moved to Fort Macleod, Alberta in 1974 with his family.
Robert was a very special husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. He was a selfless man who would do anything for anyone. He could never say no to anyone, especially his children. He was a warm hearted man, who always went the extra mile to make everyone feel welcome. He loved camping, fishing, karaoke and hockey. He was a huge Pittsburg Penguins fan with Sidney Crosby being his hero. The NHL will be a voice quieter without his supportive cheer. He did not judge or condemn others, even when he didn't agree with their choices. He just opened his loving arms and took them in.
God needed one more to fill the empty space, he looked around the hospital and saw your sweet face, when you stopped breathing, we knew you were gone, you went so peacefully, so we knew you chose the right home, we knew your skies weren't so blue, and the roads were getting too tough for you, but you fought that fight, and you did the best you could do. The best part was you didn't die alone. The day God sent you home.
Robert was predeceased by his parents, 14 siblings and one grandchild.
He leaves to mourn his wife Anne Graham; children Derek (Lynda) Graham, Leigh, Nicole, Kendra (Rick) Koponyas, Rilanne, Chantal, Scott (Cari) Graham, Alexandra, Tracy (Bill) Graham, Destiny, Lisa, Derek, Sandy, Riley (Shelly) Graham, Jumai and three great-grandchildren; as well as sisters Ruby and Margaret.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00pm, on Monday, October 26, 2009, at the MARTIN BROS. RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 - 4 St., S., Lethbridge, Alberta with Valerie Martell-Kostiuk officiating.
