It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of ROBERT JAMES GARDEN on April 9, 2012, beloved husband of AJ and adoring father of Josie.

James was born and raised in Calgary where he attended school and then the U of Manitoba. He will be greatly missed by his wife AJ, daughter Josie and in-laws Mike and Helen Dikun of Lethbridge. James is survived by his mother Edith Garden, siblings, John Garden, Mary (Mike) Bell, Pat Garden, Alex (Terrie Findlay) Garden, nephew Jared Bell & niece Lindsay Bell. He will also be missed by many extended family members throughout BC and AB.

James was predeceased by his father J.J. (Jack) Garden, grandfather Dr. John H. Garden and his great uncle James H. Garden.
James had a gregarious nature and larger than life personality. He was a great host and this was no more evident than in the many years that he was with the Stampede Caravan Committee.

A Celebration of James's Life will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, April 18th, 2012 at STS. PETER AND PAUL UKRAINIAN GREEK CATHOLIC CHURCH, 639 - 12B Street N. Lethbridge, AB, with Father Gary Sedgwick, officiating.

In lieu of flowers, a fund is being set up for Josie's education. Donations can be made at the RBC Royal Bank, Northland Plaza, Calgary or through the Garden Family.
