Richard Kim Gunn of Lethbridge passed away on Sunday, February 16, 2025, due to complications of cancer.

Kim was born on March 14, 1949, in Ontario. The family moved to Alberta in 1965. He started his working career in 1968 with the Department of Transportation, training in Ottawa and then posted to the Arctic and Yukon area. At the age of 65, Kim retired.

Then, he said the fun began; golf in the summer, next genealogy and the RC Club, flying model planes. He was a Mason and active in the Shriner’s. Many years were spent with a wine group, going through a large amount of wine and food. Then he began enjoying the taste of scotch.

Left to mourn is his loving wife, Barbara Boutlton-Gunn, Rik Gunn (Karin), Randi Gunn Purfield (Brian), Brian Boulton (Pam), Beverly Shima (Randy), Marilyn Lane (Wilf (d.)), Pat Standing (Mark (d.)), Diane Boulton (Martina), David Boulton (Sherry), Valerie Madsen (Mike), as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Kim has been predeceased by his son Scott Gunn (mother Sharon Gunn); his parents Vic and June Gunn; parents in law Don and Aileen Boulton; brother in law Wayne Boulton.

A Come and Go Celebration of Kim’s Life will take place from 1:00pm – 4:00pm, with a short program at 1:30pm, on Saturday, April 5, 2025 at the LETHBRIDGE COUNTRY CLUB, 101 Country Club Road, Lethbridge, Alberta.
