MR. RAYMOND FLOYD MARSH of Coalhurst, beloved husband of Lillian, passed away on Sunday, September 19, 2010 at the age of 76 years.
Ray was born to Helen and Clarence Marsh on July 26, 1934 in Nipawin, Saskatchewan. He went to school in Nipawin. He served in the Korean War from 1952 to 1955 in the Black Watch Regiment. He also served in the Canadian military in the Far East. Ray worked as a truck driver for Doerksen Transport, A.L. Hawley, and Motorways. His hobbies were garage sales, and being an avid gardener. He loved his dogs, Sassy, Harley, and Rusty. Ray was a very compassionate person.
He belonged to the Royal Canadian Legion of Coalhurst, and the 55+ Club of Coalhurst. Ray volunteered working bingos and was a great Crib player.
Besides his loving wife Lillian, Ray is survived by his daughters Shelley, Patricia and Jennifer (Ted) Van Der Wichen, his stepson Doug Miller, 11 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, 3 sisters-in-law, 5 brothers-in-law, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and their families.
He was predeceased by his sons Clarence and James, his daughters Susan and Sheryl-Lynn, his parents Clarence and Helen, 2 sisters, Rita and Ruth 1 granddaughter Susan, his mother-in-law Lillian Mary Daniels, and his father-in-law Herbert Ernest Belyea.
Family and friends may pay their respects between 10:00 and 11:00 am on Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at the CENTRAL CHURCH OF CHRIST, 716 - 23 Street North, Lethbridge.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at the CENTRAL CHURCH OF CHRIST, with Pastor Wes Midgett, officiating.
