Ralph Staples

RALPH BOYD STAPLES of Coaldale, beloved husband of Linda, passed away suddenly on May 4, 2007 at the age of 72 years.

Born in Maisfield, SK on March 18, 1935, Ralph was the youngest of three brothers. He married Linda the love of his life on November 24, 1961. Ralph farmed in the Hays, AB area from 1952 to 1981 and then worked as the custodian at St. Patrick's school until his retirement. Ralph and Linda resided in Coaldale until the time of his passing.

Ralph enjoyed all sports, camping and through his retirement years he mostly enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and playing golf with his buddy Floyd.

Besides his loving wife Linda, Ralph is survived by his daughters Brenda Wiebe, Sherry (Lance) Unser; son Darryl (Krista) Staples; grandchildren Kenzie, Brett and Derek Wiebe, Zachary, Tyler and Brandi Unser, Morgan and Tessa Staples; son-in-law Rick Wiebe; brother Walter (Clara) Staples; sister-in-law Norma Pederson as well as numerous nieces, nephews and their families.

Ralph was predeceased by his parents Stan and Ella Staples and brother Dick Staples.

Family and Friends are invited to pay their respects between 7:00 P.M. and 8:00 P.M. on Monday, May 7, 2007 at the COALDALE MENNONITE BRETHREN CHURCH, 2114-18th St. Coaldale.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, May 8, 2007 at the COALDALE MENNONITE BRETHREN CHURCH, 2114-18th St. Coaldale, with Pastor Lorne Willms, officiating. Cremation to follow.
