RALPH KARSTEN of Coalhurst, AB has left us to be with his Lord and Saviour on April 23, 2007 following a brief struggle with cancer. We have been blessed to share part of his life of 79 years by his wife, children, grandchildren, great-grandchild, relatives and friends.

Ralph was born on December 21, 1927 in Nyeveen, Netherlands. He immigrated to Canada in 1948 and married his wife of 53 years, Audrey (Visser). They lived together in southern Alberta settling down and retiring in Coalhurst.

Besides his wife he leaves his children, Marilyn (Greg) Horgus: their children Amy (Mark) Overes, Anna, Kevin, Laura and great grand daughter Emma; Allan (Erna) their children Brad (Stephanie Chester), Andrea (Mike) Nieboer, Kelly (Loren Janzen) and Ashley; Ivan (Wendy): their children Ty, Taryn, and Taya; siblings: Grace Kooiker; Ann (John) Ketel; John (Ann); Ken (Theresa); Hilda (John)Vander Leest; Pete (Jean); sister-n-law: Edna Karsten; Audrey's family and extended family, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Ralph was predeceased by his parents Roelof and Margje; brothers Ted and John; and brother-in-law John Kooiker.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 P.M., on Thursday, April 26, 2007 at MARANTHA CHRISTIAN REFORMED CHURCH, 260 McGill Blvd. W., Lethbridge, AB.

In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made in Ralph's name to St. Michael's Health Care Center, 1400-9th Ave.S, Lethbridge, AB T1J 4V5.
