Rafik Cassis

Mr. Rafik Cassis of Lethbridge, beloved son of Dr. and Mrs. Gamil Cassis, passed away in his home on Thursday, June 13, 2019 at the age of 62 years.

Rafik was born in Cario, Egypt in 1956. In 1973 he moved to Canada and in 1980 Rafik graduated with a degree in chemistry from the University of Lethbridge. He worked as a chemist for a number of years before retiring.

Besides his loving parents Dr. and Mrs. Gamil Cassis, Rafik is survived by his sister Dr. Mona (David Cavilla) Cassis of Lethbridge; brother Rashed (Diane) Cassis of Edmonton; nieces and nephews Joey and Jasmine Cavilla of Lethbridge and Chris and Laura Cassis of Edmonton; uncles Nabil, Rawhy, Dr. Awny Cassis and their families as well as aunts Celine and Emily Cassis and their families.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at OUR LADY OF THE ASSUMPTION CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2405 12 Avenue South, Lethbridge, Alberta, with Father Kevin Tumback, celebrant. A Graveside Service will follow in the Mountain View Cemetery.
