Phyllis Jardine

MRS. PHYLLIS JARDINE of Lethbridge, beloved wife of Mr. Roland Jardine, passed away on Saturday, January 3, 2009 at the age of 91 years.

Phyllis was born an only child to Ron and Florence Greene in Winnipeg, MB on October 13, 1917. The family moved to Calgary, AB when Phyllis was ready to start her first year of school, they then stayed in Calgary until the beginning of her high school year which they then moved to Edmonton, AB. It was in Edmonton where Phyllis met her future husband Roland Jardine. They would be married there in Edmonton in 1945. They then proceeded to start their lives together in Montreal, and in 1947 they moved back to Calgary, AB. In 1949 they found their final home in Lethbridge, AB where they resided until her passing. Upon moving to Lethbridge, Phyllis joined the 48 Group, at Southminster United Church, and a few years later she also joined the Daughter's of the Nile. Over the years she belonged to various bridge clubs.

Along with her loving husband Roland, Phyllis was survived by her son Gerald of Vancouver, BC, and her daughter Barb (Bob) Bernie of Lethbridge, AB, and granddaughter Alana Jardine of Vancouver, BC.

Phyllis was predeceased by her parents, Ron and Florence Greene of Calgary.

A Memorial reception will be held at 1:00pm, on Friday, January 9, 2009 at COUNTRY KITCHEN (formerly Sven Erickson's Family Restaurant), 1715 Mayor Magrath Drive S., Lethbridge, AB.
