Petronella Hutton

On Monday, February 11, 2013, MRS. PETRONELLA ANTONIUS (NELLY) HUTTON passed away peacefully, a week short of 86 years at St. Michael's Health Centre. We miss you.

She is survived by her son Terry (Donna) Hutton of Vernon, BC and their children Eric Hutton (Felicia) of Vernon, BC, Amanda (Mike) Holweg and their children James and Emily of Red Deer, AB, Kimberley (Norman) Cunningham of Vernon, BC; her son David's children, Audra Hutton and her children Ross and Samuel of Okotoks, AB, and Cole (Emily Masse) Hutton and their children Drew, Sophie and Cole Junior of Okotoks, AB; her sisters Antonetta Baer, Elvera Linders, and Louise Reiter; her brother-in-law Ken (Wanda) Hutton; and many, many nieces and nephews who cherish memories of Auntie Nelly.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband James Hutton; her baby son Anthony Hutton; her much missed son David Hutton; her sisters Lindy Kerr and Ricky Poirier; her brothers-in-law Dave Kerr, Barry Reiter, Fred Baer and Bill Hutton; her sister-in-law May (Bill) Hutton; her father and mother Antonius and Anna Maria Linders.

For Nelly it was all about family, wherever she lived: Lethbridge, St. Albert, or Regina. Wherever she worked: at the Bay, cleaning/organizing homes, or raising her family. Wherever she played: camping, socializing at the Legion, or travelling to Hawaii. She always had stories to tell because wherever she was, it was an adventure! Her greatest joys were her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Their pictures lined the walls of her room and she smiled.

Thank you to the amazing staff at St. Michael's for the excellent care Nelly received until her passing.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00am on Friday, February 15, 2013 at OUR LADY OF ASSUMPTION ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2405 12 Avenue South, Lethbridge. Father Kevin Tumback, officiating.
