Paul Panich

After a whirlwind summer of doctors, tests, scans and hospitals, followed by an invaluable 2 weeks at home, PAUL LOUIS PANICH of Lethbridge, beloved husband of Veronica Panich, passed away on Monday, September 13, 2010 at the age of 57 years. Left with a lifetime of memories to sustain them through this time are his wife of 30 years, Veronica, and their children Adam, Eric and Caitlin. He lives on in the hearts of his sisters Joan Panich, Linda (Dan) Langlois and brothers Mike and David Panich. Paul's journey has now reunited him with his parents Stanley and Olive.

Paul was born on August 9, 1953 in Newcastle, NB, the eldest of five. He attended the University of Ottawa, obtaining his Bachelor of Science degree with honors. He began his career with Agriculture Canada at the Experimental Farm, and would have reached 35 years of service in February of 2011. Paul was an avid sports enthusiast, dividing his time between softball, curling, and golf. He was a passionate Ottawa Senators fan who never hesitated to show his team's colors. Since arriving in Lethbridge 13 years ago, Paul has been a loyal Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 2100 member. Over the years, Paul held numerous local and provincial offices, as well as being honored as Mr. Eagle.

Vigil Rites (Prayers) will be held at 7:00PM, on Thursday, September 16, 2010, at the MARTIN BROS. RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 - 4 Street South, Lethbridge, Alberta.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 3:00PM, on Friday, September 17, 2010, at the ST. PATRICK'S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 318 - 10 Street South, Lethbridge, Alberta, with Father Tim Boyle, celebrant.

A Memorial Service celebrating Paul's life will be held at 6:00PM, in Ottawa on Wednesday, September 22, 2010, at the WEST OTTAWA CHRISTIAN COMMUNITY CHURCH, 3123 Carp Road, Ottawa, www.wocc.ca for directions.
