Pat Maynes

MR. PATRICK JOHN MAYNES passed away suddenly on Friday, June 27, 2008 at the age of 70 years. Patrick was born in Nokomis, SK on April 19, 1938. Pat was predeceased by his Father James Maynes, Mother Paula Maynes, Brothers David Maynes and Ken Maynes. Pat was also predeceased by a son Gary Maynes as well as an infant son both from a previous marriage. Pat is survived by his loving wife Doreen Maynes; son Bob Maynes and daughter Laurie (Darin) Scheurkogel, and his grandchildren Shaylee and Chase Scheurkogel; brother Joe (Pat) Maynes; sister Bernice Taylor all of Lethbridge, AB; brother Jim (Joan) Maynes; sisters Ann (Joe) Vorreiter, Maxine (Gary) Hilts, Kathy (Ken) Triffo, Mary Stewart, Yvonne Faubert, Helen (Irwin) Lazarko as well as numerous nephews and nieces all from Regina, SK.

Pat is also survived by: from a previous marriage, sons Guy Maynes of Calgary, AB, Pat (Cindy) Maynes of Chestermere, AB and daughter Connie (Ken) King; grandchildren Darren and Justin as well as two great-grandchildren all of Edmonton, AB. Pat was transferred to Lethbridge in 1970 with Pool Construction to help with the construction of the University of Lethbridge. He later worked for Glen Little Construction where he worked side by side with his Brother Joe for numerous years. Together Pat and Joe had a hand in helping with the growth of Lethbridge. Pat was a very kind loving man who entered the hearts of many. He worked very long hours to provide for his family to give them the things he never had. Pat's love for his family was the most precious thing he ever gave and they will forever keep him in their hearts. A private family service will be held at a later date.
