Olive was not only an accomplished homemaker but worked with her husband Gower to establish a welding and machining business in Fort Macleod in the 1940s and later produced the line drawings for Gower's successful welding textbook. Olive was also an avid sports person who made many friends curling, bowling, golfing, and participating in Tai Chi.

The family is grateful for the excellent care Olive received at St. Michael's Health Centre. A private family interment will be held. A Celebration of Her Life for family and friends will be announced later.
