Mr. Peto Nicas of Lethbridge, beloved husband of the late Marie Nicas, passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at the age of 92 years.

He was born January 2, 1924 in Lethbridge, Alberta. He owned and operated McGuire’s Men’s Wear for 50 years. He was an active member of the Lethbridge Y’s Men’s Club. Once he retired, he was able to fully enjoy golfing at the Lethbridge Country Club, playing Crib at Parkridge Estates, and he really enjoyed riding his bike. He loved traveling and spent many years doing just that, with his love, Marie.

Peto is survived by his four children, Andy, Phil (Sonia), Greg (Viva) and their children William and Kate, Pam (Duane) Ptycia and their children Dan (Aaryn) and David (Anastasia). He is also survived by his two brothers John (Dite) and Jim (Rosemarie).

Peto was predeceased by his loving wife Marie, his grandson Michael Nicas, and his mother & father.

To follow Peto’s wishes, there will be no funeral service. A Come & Go Reception will be held from 2:00pm – 4:00pm on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at COUNTRY KITCHEN CATERING, 1715 Mayor Magrath Drive South (lower level).
