William Murray Nelson

1950 -2015

William Murray Nelson, age 65, passed away peacefully at the Lethbridge Regional Hospital on Sunday, November 29, 2015, after a valiant battle with cancer.

Musician, performer, teacher, mentor, sound guy, recording guy, video guy, computer guy, sign guy; he was a man who lived his life his way, on his own terms, doing what he loved.

Murray is survived by his sister Kathryn (Scott) Hinman of Calgary, his brother Mark of Lethbridge, his daughter Caylee of Vancouver, and their families.

Murray’s ashes will be interred in the family plot in Moutainview Cemetery, beside his parents, Bill and Margaret Nelson; the service will be held in the spring. A memorial “open stage” will be planned for January.

It is overwhelming to see the response on social media to Murray’s passing.

A special thank you to all who supported Murray through the last 5 months; there are so many of you that made his journey easier. You know who you are.
