Muriel Ully

MRS. MURIEL ESTHER ULLY of Lethbridge, beloved wife of the late Mr. Reinhold Ully, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 16, 2009 at the age of 90 years.

Reinhold and Muriel farmed south of Foremost and ranched in the Elk Valley, B.C. She resided in Lethbridge until the time of her passing.

Muriel enjoyed being involved in her church and community. She was known for her baking and hospitality and her home was a welcome place for all. She travelled to many countries throughout her life. She was always ready for a game of scrabble; we were all hard pressed to beat her! Muriel was also an avid gardener, the bounty of which she shared with her children and friends.

Muriel will be sadly missed by her family; and her great-grandchildren will miss their Gramma Achoo.

Muriel is survived by her daughter Sherry (Dale) Brooks; sons Harry (Bev), Milton (Bonnie), Aubrey (June), Keith (Cindy); grandchildren Jason (Michelle) Ully, Dawneen (Colin) Cartwright, Shawna Busch (Shawn), Darcy (Quentin) Reider, Robert Ully, Jennifer (Jay) Sonneveld, Jedd Ully, Brooke Ully (Brett), Daina Ully, Scott (Kim) Ully, Kelsy (John) Scott, Ashley Ully; 10 great-grandchildren; sister Georgia (Bob) Baird; sisters-in-law Marie Ully, Marguerite Dixson and Audrey Dixson; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and their families.

Besides her loving husband Reinhold, Muriel was predeceased by her parents Lloyd and Hilda Dixson; as well as brothers Russel, Gordon, Ron and Chester Dixson.

A Funeral Service will be held at 1:30PM on Thursday, October 22, 2009, at the FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH, 1614 - 5 Ave., S., Lethbridge, Alberta, with Pastor Ron Harris officiating.
