MURIEL NILSSON of Warner, beloved wife of Bert Nilsson, passed away after a lengthy illness on Saturday, June 28, 2008, 10 days prior to her 77th birthday.

Muriel was born in Taber on July 8, 1931. After graduating, she moved to Lethbridge to attend business school. She worked at Industrial Acceptance Finance where she met her husband Bert. They later moved to Warner where they raised their family. Family was always Muriel's first priority. She was actively involved in many community organizations including Royal Purple, Warner Senior Citizens, Warner Memorial Church, and the Ag Society. She loved curling, golfing, camping, bowling, and dancing.

Besides her loving husband Bert, Muriel is survived by her daughters Sharon (Ken) Turnbull, Janet (Hal) Culler, Debbie (Ken) Brittner and Connie (Alan) Martens; son Jerry (Theresa) Nilsson; grandchildren Amber Turnbull, Lora and Kelsey Culler, Melissa and Amanda Nilsson, Savannah Brittner, Brendan and Shiana Martens; sister Lillian Howlett; sister-in-law Marge Cahoon, brother-in-laws Bob Thomson, Byron (Irma) Nilsson, Dean (Shirley) Nilsson, Garth (Nellie) Nilsson; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and their families. Muriel was predeceased by her parents Ray and Velma Whitney, and sister Bernice Thomson.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00am on Friday, July 4, 2008 at MARTIN BROS. RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 - 4 Street South, Lethbridge.
