Munson Harold

We regret to announce the passing to HAROLD J. MUNSON of Lethbridge, Alberta on August 24, 2008 at St. Michael's Health Centre Palliative Care at the age of 81 years.

Harold was born on May 29, 1927 in Vulcan, Alberta to Lloyd and Marie Munson. He was predeceased by his wife Kathy (Vollendorf) and his parents. He is survived by his only brother Robert and his wife Phyllis of Red Deer, special nieces and their families, Carol (Jim) Whitney of Medicine Hat, Marion (Len) Thompson of Sylvan Lake, and Sharon Skage of Edmonton, as well as Kathy's two sons and their families - Art (Mona) Vollendorf of Calgary and Vern Vollendorf of Lethbridge. Also, his good friend Alice Guscott of Lethbridge and her family.

Harold was employed by Lethbridge Research Station until his retirement in 1987. In his retirement years he spent many hours of volunteering at both the Regional Hospital and St. Michael's. He also spent many hours at the Lethbridge Senior Centre woodworking shop, which was a great hobby of his and which he was very good at, as well as doing a lot of fishing.

At Harold's request there will be no funeral service, but if so desired, memorial donations may be made to St. Michaels's Health Centre Foundation, Palliative Care, 1400 - 9 Ave South, Lethbridge, AB T1J 0J9.
