Mrs. Perlich Katie

MRS. KATIE PERLICH of Lethbridge, beloved wife of the late Mr. Bill (William) Perlich, passed away at the Good Samaritan's Lodge on Tuesday, October 7, 2008 at the age of 86 years.

Katie was born in Croatia on November 3, 1921. Her family and friends were of the utmost importance. She enjoyed visiting with her friends, old and new, her neighbours and relatives. Katie was an enthusiastic gardener and baker. She was also a lifelong member of the C.W.L.

Katie immigrated to Taber in 1936 with her immediate family. She later married Bill who was from Croatia as well. They had two children, William (Bill) Perlich of High River and Angie (Norm) Giesbrecht of Kelowna, BC. Katie is also survived by her grandchildren, Troy Giesbrecht of Portugal and Kari Whan (Giesbrecht) of Cold Lake, AB and by her sisters-in-law Rose (Perlich) Niedermier and Joanne (Tony) Perlich.

Besides her beloved husband Bill, Katie was predeceased by her parents, brothers-in-law Joe and Tony, as well as her sisters-in-law Iva and Irene.

Vigil Rites (Prayers) will be held at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, October 8, 2008 at MARTIN BROS. RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 - 4 Street South, Lethbridge led by Karen Haberman.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Thursday, October 9, 2008 at ST. BASIL'S CATHOLOIC CHURCH, 604 - 13 Street North, Lethbridge with Father Edward Flanagan and Deacon Cliff Bogdan celebrant. Interment to follow in the Mountain View Cemetery.
