Sadly missed and fondly remembered. MRS. EDITH MILNE of Lethbridge, beloved wife of the late Mr. Reginald Milne, passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Monday, June 21, 2010 at the age of 92 years.

Edie, as she was affectionately known, was born in Swift Current on September 5, 1917. After her father died, she managed his Swift Current real estate and insurance office and later worked as a telephone operator for Saskatchewan Tel. She married Reg Milne on May 2, 1942 and during the war years they lived in Regina, Edmonton, Yorkton and Winnipeg when Reg was in the RCAF. After the war they returned to Swift Current where he was employed as a soil scientist at the research station. They moved to Edmonton, Vauxhall and came to Lethbridge in 1961.

Edie had many great friends. She was an explorer leader, a CGIT leader, a volunteer for lifeline, a member of the Horticultural Society, Historical Society and Genealogy Society.

She is survived by her three daughters Judy (Bill) Dunn, Linda Hart Bozyk, Donna (Tom) Menard, four grandchildren; Kent (Jenn) Halluk, Spencer (Kendra) Halluk and their father Frank Halluk, Amy (Clayton) Gillespie, and Maggie Bozyk, her five nieces; Kay, Gail, Diane, Suzanne, and Moira and one nephew Graeme, along with one sister-in-law.

She was predeceased by her parents Kate and Percy Mugliston, two brothers Ernie and Tommy Mugliston and her God daughter Lynn Lambert.
She was the sweetest lady anyone would ever know and touched the hearts of many.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, June 25, 2010 at MARTIN BROS. RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 4th Street South, Lethbridge, with Pastor Jim Lindemann, officiating.
