Official Obituary of
27/10/1945 - to - 27/10/1945
With heavy hearts and sadness, we announce the passing of Kenneth Marshall Miller, beloved husband of Gwen Miller, at the age of 71 years old. Ken was born Oct 27, 1945 in Montreal. He moved with his parents to Rolling Hills at 6 months old. Ken, the oldest of 3 sons went to school in Rolling Hills. Dad and Mom were married on September 21, 1968. He worked with the CPR, in the oil field and with the EID for 5 years. He settled into farming in Rolling Hills in 1975 and farmed for over 25 years before retiring. Ken was a hard worker, loving husband, father and grandfather. Dad was an avid curler in the Rolling Hills Curling Club. He liked hunting, fishing, camping, horseshoes, his antique cars, playing cards and Happy Hour. He enjoyed his family and spending winters in Yuma.
Dad was very “Miller Family” proud. The Miller family would get together for reunions with approximately 100 family members for a week, every three years. We have had reunions in Ohio, New York, Ontario, California and Rolling Hills. This originated at his father’s farm in Rolling Hills and Dad was dedicated to carry it on.
He lived a content life and was always satisfied with what he had. Dad was brave. He fought a courageous battle with cancer and didn’t complain once! We will always admire his strength and courage!
Ken is survived by his loving wife Gwen of Lethbridge, daughter Terri and her husband Shawn Dahl of Duchess, son Jason and his wife Rhonda of Lethbridge, son Keith and his wife Pearl of Lethbridge and son Brent and his wife Elaine of Lethbridge. His Grandkids; Jordyn, Brandyn, (Terri), Taner, Tayler, (Jason) Oliver and Cooper, (Keith).
