Michael Yanish 1962 ~ 2013 We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of MICHAEL ANDREW YANISH on April 23, 2013 at the St. Michael`s Health Centre, at the age of 50 years. Michael was born on July 23, 1962 in Edmonton and his family moved to Lethbridge when he was three years old. He worked for Northern Underwater Specialists as a Commercial Diver for many years. In this capacity he dove in various waters including the Bering Sea and Arctic Ocean. His passions included fishing with his Dad, his children and travelling. Michael was predeceased by his mother Marie Yanish, grandparents Peter and Stella Yanish, uncles Wally Yanish and Earl Cochrane, and cousin William Cochrane. He is survived by his father Andrew; brother Samuel (Jennifer); two children Michael and Madison; niece Alyssa; plus numerous aunts, uncles and cousins in Strasbourg and Regina, Saskatchewan and Edmonton and Redwater, Alberta. Michael lived life on his own terms and will be remembered for his zest for life. In celebration of Michael`s life a come and go reception will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 pm on Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at Martin Brothers Funeral Chapels, 610-4th Street South. The family thanks the staff at St. Michael`s Health Centre for their care and kindness.
