Michael Booth
Service Details
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Michael Booth, who peacefully left us on March 2, 2025, at the age of 68 years.
Michael was born in Annapolis Royal, Nova Scotia on April 8, 1956. He lived a life full of adventure, and love for nature. An avid fly fisherman, Michael spent many peaceful moments on the water, tying his own flies and embracing the tranquility of his surroundings. His love for the outdoors extended to his appreciation for trees, which he cultivated through his career as an arborist. Michael also enjoyed the simple joys of playing the guitar, skiing, tending to plants, and admiring bees.
Michael dedicated much of his professional life to the Lethbridge Research Station until his well-deserved retirement.
Michael is survived by his beloved wife, Renae, and his cherished daughter, Ivy. He will also be remembered by his family, including Wendy, Burkley, Dave, and Jamie.
The Tree
Reaches down,
To hold onto life.
Reaches above,
For nourishment to grow.
Reaches out,
To the world.
Stands firm through the storm,
When nurtured and pruned, it becomes stronger.
A symbol of strength, hope, and life.
Plant Trees
Michael will be forever remembered, forever loved.
A Celebration of life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations in Michael’s memory be made to the Diabetes Foundation or Kidney Cancer Research.
