Melvin Hudson

MELVIN DOUGLAS HUDSON of Shaughnessy beloved father, son, brother, and grandfather passed away suddenly on Friday, September 7, 2007 at the age of 56 years.

Melvin was born in Lethbridge, Alberta on December 25, 1950, and lived in Saughnessy, Alberta all his life until his passing. Melvin was a very simple man. He enjoyed work and being with his family. He had many interests but one in particular was his days out with the guys at their hockey drafts. He enjoyed playing hockey, broomball and spending time with his family. Melvin also enjoyed taking his granddaughter out for walks; he adored her and she adored him. Melvin worked at Maple Leaf Pork until his passing.

Besides his loving ex-wife Linda Hudson, Melvin is survived by his daughter Carolyn Hudson of Lethbridge, AB; mother Marjorie Hudson of Shaughnessy, AB; granddaughter Hailey Hudson-Burrows of Lethbridge, AB; sisters Pat (Steve) Bodnar of Shaughnessy, AB, and Bessie (Rene) Desjardins of Cowley, AB; brother Larry (Sandy) Hudson of Shaughnessy, AB; as well as numerous nieces, nephew and their families.

Melvin was predeceased by his father Ken Hudson and granddaughter Jasmine Hudson-Burrows.

A Funeral Service will be held at 3:00PM on Saturday, September 15, 2007 at MARTIN BROS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 - 4 Street South, Lethbridge. Interment to follow in Mountain View Cemetery.
