Mel Anderson

It is with great sorrow and joy for him that we announce the passing of MR.MELVIN ANDERSON. Our dad, friend, and grandpa died peacefully in his daughters arms February 23, 2008.

Dad found it difficult to go on without his best friend and ""love of his life"" Jean who passed away five years ago. ""Two hearts, two souls so closely woven together they become one."" They are now together again.

He is survived by his loving daughter Judy, son Richard (Anita), as well as his special grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Dad worked hard all his life. He was an honest person, a gentleman, had good moral values, and was full of integrity. Material things didn't mean a thing to Dad, he enjoyed the small things in life like gardening, keeping a beautiful yard, coffeeing with friends and talking about the ""Old Days"" and ""teasing"" everyone he knew. If you were teased you knew how much he liked you. He was grumpy and rough around the edges but had a giving heart.

Melvin was predeceased by his wife Jean, parents Nels and Albertina, as well as 3 other siblings.

The family would to thank Dr. Cal Stewart, Lois, Coral, Mattie and all the great gals at Extendicare and also a special thank you to Angie, Chantelle and Arlene at Family Services and especially family and friends.

At Dad's request a private service will be held at a later date.
