Meeuwis Maanen

With deep sorrow, we announce the passing away of our dear husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather MEEUWIS VAN MAANEN, beloved husband of Hendrika Van Maanen, on Sunday, April 1, 2012 at the age of 91 years.

Meeuwis is survived by his dear wife Hendrika; daughter Greet (Gerard) Bettink; sons Barend (Jany) and Henk Jan (Krijnie); daughter-in-law Jenny DeVos; 24 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; in-laws Dirk Pul, Steven (Marie) Dunsbergen, Bertie Vande Bruinhorst, Henk (Annie) Dunsbergen, Wim (Hennie) Dunsbergen; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and their families. He was predeceased by his Parents, Parents-in-law and son Harry, one brother, seven sisters and numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

Condolences will be held from 7:30pm to 8:30pm on Thursday, April 5, 2012 at the NETHERLAND REFORMED CONGREGATION, 601 - 3 ""A"" Street South, Picture Butte.

A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, April 7, 2012 at the NETHERLANDS REFORMED CONGREGATION, Lethbridge, Hwy 3, with Reverend C. Sonnevelt officiating. Interment will follow in the Archmount Cemetery.

Flowers are gratefully declined; donations may be made to the Bethesda Care Home, Box 1096, Picture Butte, AB T0K 1V0.
