MRS. MAY FREEMAN of Lethbridge, beloved wife of the late Mr. Earl Freeman, passed away on May 20, 2007 at the age of 85 years.
May was born on January 17, 1922 in Denton Manchester, England. She came to Canada in 1946 to begin a new life in Milk River, moving to Lethbridge in 1959 to raise their children. May worked in the retail market until retirement. After retirement she kept herself busy with family, friends and of course can't forget bingo.
May is survived by her 2 daughters Barbara (Don Teed) Slawson and Rita Freeman; son-in-law Warren Asplund; grandchildren Sharla (Darcy) Asplund, Travis (Terry) Asplund, Lana (Jason) Hugli, Connie (Gerald) Dedieu, Daniel (Melissa) Yanosik, Dustin Slawson and Courtney Slawson; great-grandchildren Jacinda, Joey, Natasha, Callum, Alexandra and Nathan; sister Nellie Chandler; special nephew Mike (Maggie) Chandler and families; as well as nieces, nephews and their families.
Besides her loving husband Earl, May was predeceased by her parents Charlie and Nellie Berrisford and daughter Patricia Asplund.
A Memorial Service will be held at 12:00(noon) on Friday, May 25, 2007 at the ITALIAN CANADIAN CLUB, 1511 St. Edwards Blvd North, Lethbridge, with Reverend Elizabeth Brown officiating.
