MRS. MARY KATHLEEN VICTORIA WILKINSON formerly of Lethbridge passed away on Wednesday, July 4, 2007 in White Rock, BC at the age of 91 years.
Kathleen is survived by her daughter Frances and her husband Don Davis of White Rock, BC; 4 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; sisters Helen Byrne, Frances Webb, Alice Thom, Gerry Parfitt, Ethel (Jock) Carpenter; son-in-law Ken Woodward. Besides her beloved husband Thomas, Kathleen was predeceased by her daughter Mary Helene Woodward and by her parents Maurice and Mary Helene Parfitt.
Kathleen was born on January 26, 1916 in Lethbridge where she was born and educated. She attended the St. Basil's School, graduating from St. Patrick's School. Kathleen married Thomas Wilkinson on October 31, 1942. She worked at the T. Eaton Company for over 25 years and in the drapery department for several years, receiving her 25 year ring for her many years of service. Thomas served in the Royal Airforce, stationed in Canada. Following the war, Thomas and Kathleen returned to England where they lived until returning to Canada in 1952. Together they raised their family in Lethbridge. Kathleen enjoyed music, playing the piano for many years, crocheting, cooking and gardening. She also enjoyed traveling the world; she was in Hong Kong for New Years to celebrate the Millennium with her family.
Vigil Rites (Prayers) will be held at 7:00PM on Friday, July 6, 2007 at MARTIN BROS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 - 4 Street South, Lethbridge.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30AM on Saturday, July 7, 2007 at OUR LADY OF THE ASSUMPTION CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2405 - 12 Ave South, Lethbridge, Father Raul Hernandez celebrant.
