Mary Klassen

Mary Klassen (nee Wiebe) beloved mother, Oma and great-Oma passed away on Friday, November 15, 2013 at age of 91 years.

She was born on April 17, 1922 in Alexandrovka, Ukraine and after many trials during WWII came to Canada with her siblings and her young daughter Ellie in 1948. She married Henry Klassen in November 1951 and has resided in Coaldale since that time. Her gentle, humble strength was a blessing to her family and others.

Mary is survived by her children Annie Braun, Ellie (Bill) Dueck, Erna (Herb) Dyck, Margaret Klassen, Linda (Harv) Wiens and her grandchildren Tina (David) Teichroeb, Allan (Edna) Braun, Leonard Braun, Connie Braun, Karen Dueck, Terry (Carolyn) Dueck, Carla (Trevor) Ens, Andrea (Stephan) Bieganek, Ryan (Jacqui) Wiens, Alyssa Wiens, Mark (Rachel) Wiens and nine great-grandchildren.

Mary was predeceased by her husband Henry and her son-in-law Jake Braun.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects between 7:00pm-8:00pm on Monday, November 18, 2013 at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 4th Street South, Lethbridge, AB.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00pm on Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at the COALDALE MENNONITE CHURCH, 2316- 17th Street, Coaldale.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Mennonite Central Committee, 2316 17th Street Coaldale, AB T1M 1G3.
