Mary Bach 1922 ~ 2014 Mary (MacLellan) Bach, passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital on May 31, 2014 at the age of 91 years. Mary was born and raised in the Antigonish, Nova Scotia area. As an adult, she moved to Calgary, Alberta to work. There she met Robert (Bob) Bach, a farmer from the Champion District who spent several winter months in Calgary with his retired parents. Mary and Bob were married in 1965. Mary and Bob continued to farm at Champion and were members of the St. Mary's Church. They retired and moved to Lethbridge in 1982. Soon after that, the new Catholic Parish of St. Martha's was established and they became active members from the beginning. Mary and Bob enjoyed their retirement years, often visiting Mary's family in Nova Scotia and going on other family trips as well. Mary loved fishing, and whenever they got the chance, she and Bob would pack up their camper and go on a peaceful, little fishing trip. Due to age and failing health, in 2008 Mary and Bob moved to seniors' care centers. Mary is survived by one sister, Catherine Callaghan of Fredericton, New Brunswick and one brother, Victor MacLellan of Antigonish, Nova Scotia, two sisters-in-law, Katherine Mullan of Calgary, and Peggy Bach of Vulcan as well as several nephews, nieces and their families. She was predeceased by her husband, Bob, in October 2013, her parents Malcolm and Nora MacLellan, one brother, Rodrick, and two sisters, Sister Florence (of the Sisters of St. Martha), and Dorothy MacLellan.
