Mrs. Silvia Lorena Martinez of Lethbridge, beloved wife of Mr. Miguel Cruz, passed away peacefully at the Peter Lougheed Centre in Calgary, on Friday, September 30, 2022, at the age of 41 years.

Silvia Martinez of San Francisco Chinameca beloved wife of Miguel Cruz, passed away peacefully on September 30th, 2022 at the age of 41 years. Silvia was born in San Francisco Chinameca, she lived her infancy and childhood in San Salvador and moved back to her hometown at the age of 22 years old. From a young age Silvia loved children and wished to start a daycare in her hometown to help young mothers. While in Canada she opened her own day home and cared for 6 children whom she loved so dearly. Among her many hobbies, Silvia loved flowers and gardening. Silvia loved spending her afternoons outside in her garden or taking walks with her family. Besides her loving husband Miguel Cruz, Silvia Martinez is survived by her daughter Karla Cruz; son Cesar Cruz and close relatives: Mother Maria Coronada Lopez, sister Roxana Del Carmen and aunt Maria Julia Lopez; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and their families

Besides her loving husband Miguel Cruz, Silvia is survived by her daughter Karla Michelle Cruz Martinez; son Cesar Alejandro Cruz Martinez; mother Maria Coronada Lopez; sister Roxana Del Carmen Martinez; and aunt Maria Julia Lopez.

A Visitation will be held at 6:00 pm, on Friday, October 14, 2022 followed by a Prayer service at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610, 4 STREET SOUTH, Lethbridge, Alberta.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am, on Saturday, October 15, 2022 at OUR LADY OF THE ASSUMPTION CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2405 - 12 Avenue South, Lethbridge, Alberta, with Father Kevin Tumback, celebrant.

Interment will follow at Royal View Cemetery.
