Martin Slingerland

With deep sorrow we announce the passing away of MR. MARTIN SLINGERLAND, of Coaldale, beloved husband of the late Hillegonda Slingerland on Saturday April 7, 2012 at the age of 94 years.

Martin is survived by his children Gerie (Bas) De Peuter; Jannie (Jacob) Stouten; Jake (Nellie); Aris; Gonnie (Kor) Vanden Hoek; Martin (Jeanette); Case (Rose); Adam (Annie); Hank (Arlene);Tony (Lisa); John (Diane); Judy(Chris) den Hertog; Marinus (Wilma); William (Ellie) and 76 grandchildren, 131 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild; 2 sisters-in-law; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and their families.

Martin was predeceased by his wife Hillegonda, daughter Judith (1954), daughter-in-law Margaret, 2 grandchildren, 4 infant grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

Condolences may be offered from 7:00PM-8:30PM on Tuesday April 10, 2012 at the NETHERLANDS REFORMED CONGREGATION- Meeting Room, Howe Road, Lethbridge.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:30PM on Wednesday April 11, 2012 at the NETHERLANDS REFORMED CONGREGATION, Howe Road, Lethbridge with Rev. C. Sonnevelt, officiating. Interment to follow in the Archmount Cemetery.
