GILES, Marion E. (nee McLaren) August 10, 1920 - September 29, 2012 Mrs. Marion Giles, beloved wife of Glenn (deceased 2000), passed away at Chinook Regional Hospital (Lethbridge) on Saturday September 29, 2012 at the age of 92 years. Marion and Glen are survived by their three sons, Stephen of Thornhill, ON, Stuart (Lynn) and granddaughters, Allison and Heather of Port Hope, ON, and Alex of Lethbridge, AB. Marion was born in Westmount, Quebec August, 1920. She went to Teachers College, joined RCAF (WD) during WWII, and then rejoined in 1951 where she & Glen met. They married in June 1954. After raising their children she worked at the Hudson's Bay Post Office downtown Calgary until her retirement. A Memorial Reception will be held from 2:00pm to 4:00pm on Thursday, October 11, 2012 at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 - 4 Street South, Lethbridge. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made directly to the Heart and Stroke Association, the Canadian Diabetes Association or to the Canadian Cancer Society.
