MARILYN JOYCE FARTHING (nee Townsend) passed away peacefully after a brief illness at Chinook Regional Hospital on Friday, April 20th, 2012.
Born January 21st, 1948 to Bob and Mandy Townsend, Marilyn was the oldest of 7 children. Marilyn was blessed with two children, David and Gregory Farthing. Marilyn was extremely proud of her 5 grandchildren.
Marilyn was an accomplished registered nurse who graduated from Brandon University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, later retiring from the Public Service of Canada.
Our family would like to sincerely thank all the doctors, nurses, technicians and especially the palliative care team at the Chinook Regional Hospital.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects from 7:00 to 9:00 pm on Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610- 4th Street South, Lethbridge.
A Celebration of Marilyn's Life will take place at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at 1ST BAPTIST CHURCH, 1614-5th Avenue South, Lethbridge, with Dr. Bruce Martin, officiating.
Interment to follow at Mountain View Cemetery.
