MRS. MARIAN JOHANNA IRMLER of Lethbridge, beloved wife of the late Mr. Ewald ""Frank"" Irmler, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at the age of 82 years. Marian immigrated to Canada in 1955 and was employed at St. Michael's Hospital. In 1958 she married the love of her life Ewald and began a new chapter in her life. Marian was a nurturing woman and throughout the years took care of numerous children as well as family and friends. She participated in many activities throughout her life including those her daughters were involved in. Gardening, sewing, knitting and walking her beloved dog Christy were a few of the many things she enjoyed. Marian is survived by her daughters Marian (Kim) Selk and Irene (Mark) Irmler; grandchildren Amanda (Cody) Edwards, Josh (Jenn) Keen, Justin Selk, and Tamara Meisner; brother Frans (Betsy) Vos; dear friend Elsie; as well as numerous, nieces, nephews and their families. Besides her beloved husband Frank, Marian was predeceased by her parents Hendrikus and Gerritdina Vos; brothers Jan Vos and Herman Vos; sisters Betsy Schutte and Ann Hullen. At the family's request, there will be a private service. Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life Reception will be held from 1:00pm and 3:00pm on Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at OUR LADY OF THE ASSUMPTION CHURCH HALL, 2405- 12 Ave South, Lethbridge. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
