Maria Visser

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing away of our dear mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Mrs. Maria Visser of Picture Butte, beloved wife of the late Mr. Willem Visser, on Saturday, June 15, 2013 at the age of 89 years.

She will be sadly missed by her son, Peter (Kay) of Penhold, AB, and their children Tanya (Pat) and Rob (Susan); her daughter Nellie (Marvin) of Lethbridge, AB, and their children Jeffrey, Lisa (Jeremy), Karen (Tom) and Darren; and her son Clarence (Liana) of Stirling, AB and their children William and Maria; as well as 10 great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by one sister-in-law, Riet Visser of the Netherlands, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Besides her loving husband Willem, she was predeceased by her father, mother, 3 sisters and 1 brother, two infant grandsons, and numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

The opportunity to offer condolences will be from 7:30pm to 8:30pm on Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL | 610- 4th Street South, Lethbridge.

The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, June 20, 2013 at the NETHERLANDS REFORMED CONGREGATION | Highway 3, Lethbridge with Reverend P. Bazen officiating. The interment will take place at the Mountain View Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Bethesda Care Home, Box 1096, Picture Butte, AB T0K 1V0.
