Send Flowers

With heavy hearts and profound sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Margaret Wieler, who passed away in Lethbridge, Alberta, on Monday, November 2, 2026, at the age of 98 years.

She was predeceased by her husband, John Wieler; eldest son, Larry Hammer; and parents, George and Julianna Nagy. She is also predeceased by her sisters Priscilla, Irene, and Liz; brother George; and granddaughters Christina and Sarah.

Margaret will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Priscilla (Ron); son George (Donna) and family; precious grandchildren TJ (Jennifer), Justin (Azfar), Diane, and Larry Jr.; great-grandchildren Ryder, Kinslee, Daxton, Katrina, Ashton, Daylynn, and Dawson; and great-great-grandchildren Bo, Bryar, and Atlanta. She will be greatly missed by her sister Julaine Coyne and missed by all of Margaret's nieces and nephews and their families.

Margaret was born on April 23, 1928, in Hungary to parents George and Julianna Nagy.

Mom was a loving, caring, and devoted woman whose life was filled with kindness, strength, and unconditional love. She was the heart of our family, always putting others before herself and making sure everyone around her felt loved and cared for. She was more than a mother. She was our greatest supporter, our comfort, our teacher, and our guiding light. Her love was endless, her heart was generous, and her strength inspired everyone fortunate enough to know her.

She will be remembered by many friends for lively dance steps at jam sessions and by creating beautiful flowers or beaded necklaces for staff and newcomers at the Garden View Lodge. She loved to sew, loved gardening, and loved listening to music.

Although our hearts are broken by her passing, we are grateful for the memories, laughter, lessons, and precious moments we shared with her. Her love will live on through her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family, and everyone whose life she touched. There will never be another person like her. She leaves behind a lifetime of beautiful memories and a love that will never fade.

Forever loved, forever missed, and never forgotten. Rest peacefully until we meet again.

A private family service will be held.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.

Flowers are gratefully declined. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice.
