Margaret Roberts

MRS. MARGARET ROBERTS (nee McKnight) of Lethbridge, beloved wife of the late Dave Roberts, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 14, 2010 at the age of 101 years.

Margaret was born on November 16, 1908 at Milk River, AB, the youngest of five children. She attended Garbutt Business College and upon graduation was employed by Forster Insurance Agency, then on to Cameron Ladies War and finally ended her career working in the Personnel office of the Hudson Bay Co. in Calgary for 30 years. She enjoyed playing bridge for many years until her vision deteriorated. Even at her advanced age she had a keen mind and enjoyed talking about events of the years past with Bob and Roy. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Margaret will be lovingly remembered by her nieces Agnes Pocza and Gloria Schnell, nephews Roy (Bonnie) Harvie and Bob (Mary) Harvie, as well as numerous great nephews and nieces. Besides her beloved husband Dave, Margaret was predeceased by her parents John and Agnes McKnight, infant brother George, sister Susan (William) Harvie, brothers Joseph (Ethel McKnight), William (Maisie) McKnight and nephews William Harvie and John (Ethel) Harvie.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00pm on Wednesday, May 19, 2010 at MARTIN BROS. RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 - 4 Street South, Lethbridge, AB with Reverend Lois Punton officiating. Interment to follow in the Mountain View Cemetery.
