Margaret Filkowski

MARGARET ALICE FILKOWSKI of Lethbridge beloved wife of Alan Filkowski, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Sunday, April 15, 2007 at the age of 62 years.

Margaret was born on April 22, 1944 in Ponteix, SK. She spent her younger years as an active singer and performer. She was a wonderful mother and a very loving wife. Margaret enjoyed being creative through her sewing, knitting, gardening and home renovations. She was an empathetic listener and was always good with providing advice. Everyone could be her friend. She had a special love for animals, plants and all living things. She was a survivor and conqueror.

Besides her loving husband Alan, Margaret is survived by her daughters Janie, Shelly, Anne, Ebony; sons Richard, Alan; grandchildren Anthony, Mariah, Drake, Drew, Myson, Jacob; sisters Francine, Gina, Laurel; brothers James, Wayne, Harvey; mother-in-law Dorothy Filkowski; sister-in-law Lesley; brother-in-law Ed; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and their families.

Margaret was predeceased by her parents Anne and George Aurat and brother Floyd; father-in-law John Filkowski.

Vigil Rites (Prayers) will be held at 7:00 P.M., on Thursday, April 19, 2007 at MARTIN BROS. RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610-4th St. S., Lethbridge.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 A.M., on Friday, April 20, 2007 at ST. MARTHA'S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 355 Columbia Blvd. W., with Father Dennis McDonald, celebrant. Interment to follow in Mountain View Cemetery.
