Margaret Brooks

MARGARET ELIZABETH BROOKS of Lethbridge beloved wife of the late George Brooks passed away on Sunday, December 25, 2011 at the Chinook Regional Hospital at the age of 84 years.

Margaret is survived by her four children Donnalee (Gene) Saffran, David (Shirley) Brooks, Sheryl Brooks (Pete), Leslie (Cindy) Brooks; grandchildren Michele Kobylanski, Georgina Taggart, Kenneth Shumaker, Richard Shumaker, Dan Brooks, Shelly Orban, Tania Larko, and Cody Brooks; as well as seven great-grandchildren. Margaret is also survived by her sister Loraine Hansen of Red Deer and by her brother Ernie (Bonnie) Nottingham of Taber.

Margaret's greatest joy in life was her dedication to her family and to her home. Margaret was an active member in the Coalhurst Community, making friends while serving on the school board and the Community Sewing Circle for several years. Margaret was always a very dignified lady who lived life with respect to all.

A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, December 31, 2011 at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 - 4 Street South, Lethbridge, with Valerie Martell-Kostiuk officiating. Interment in the Archmount Cemetery, Lethbridge, Alberta.
